There's something beautiful about how you describe rest not as sleep, but as finally becoming heavy enough to land. So many of us spend the week functioning without ever fully arriving in ourselves. Sometimes the deepest form of love is simply becoming the place where another person no longer has to keep holding themselves together.

Thatโ€™s exactly what I was trying to describe. How comforting it is to finally land in somebodyโ€™s arms after a long week of exhaustion. :) thank you, Adrien.

The whole poem hinges on that shift from โ€œI had shape, but I was weightlessโ€ to โ€œin his warm arms, I am fearless.โ€ Most people write safety as the opposite of dissolving. You wrote it as the thing that finally makes dissolving okay.

Thank you. Sometimes, when it feels safe, itโ€™s nice to just dissolve and surrender into the arms of someone you love. โ™ฅ๏ธ

Gen - you found the one place where melting isn't loss. All week you were light as a feather, but that was drifting, not freedom. His arms don't keep you from dissolving; they make it safe to. And in the right arms, disappearing and arriving turn out to be the same motion.

Bravo ๐Ÿ‘ These are beautiful, heartfelt words, brimming with love.

With gratitude,

Dominic

Hello Gen โค๏ธ

"Open for love" might be the hardest discipline there is - most people guard the door and call it strength. You wrote the reminder; the rest of us got to read over your shoulder. Thank you for that๐Ÿ™‚

With quiet gratitude,

Thanks, Dominic. Yes, itโ€™s a really simple yet profound moment every woman wantsโ€”to be wrapped in safety. A memory that came knocking at this perfect time.

Written to remind myself to always be open for love. :)

Thanks for dropping by. ๐Ÿค
